How to keep track of perfume you own
Save each fragrance in Beauty Board with the line and the size. The pink bottle is not a record, and it is a poor brief for a gift.

Perfume is easy to love and hard to inventory. Bottles look like furniture. Lines share a name across an eau de parfum, a hair mist, and a body cream. You say "the pink one" to a shop assistant and hope. Save each fragrance in Beauty Board with the exact line and the size, then use that list when you restock, travel, or ask for a gift.
The bottle is not the name
A lot of people own more perfume than they can name. The everyday one is muscle memory. The second bottle was a gift. The travel spray is a different concentration of something you already have, or it is not, and you cannot tell from the cap.
That vagueness gets expensive at Christmas. Someone asks what you wear. You describe a colour and a mood. They buy a cousin in the same family, and now you own two bottles you will not finish. How to buy beauty gifts people actually want only works if the record exists first.
File the line, the concentration, and the size
A perfume record needs more than a pretty packshot.
- Brand and line. Chance, not "the Chanel." Lines split into several bottles that are not interchangeable.
- What it actually is. Eau de parfum, toilette, hair mist, body oil. These wear differently and restock differently.
- Size. The 50 ml and the 100 ml are the variant that matters when someone else is buying, and when you are deciding whether you have enough.
- Where it came from. The shop, or "gift," so you know how to find it again.
Paste the brand or retailer link if you have it. Add the rest by hand with a photo of the bottle you actually own, not the campaign still. Mark it Using if it is the one on the tray now.

Chance
Fragrance is the hardest gift to guess. The exact line and size on the record beats a remembered bottle.

One fragrance list, everyday and backup
Create a short Fragrance list in Beauty Board. Everyday / Backup / Gift is enough structure. The everyday bottle sits at the top. Backups and decants sit below, with the size on the record so a travel spray does not look like a full bottle.
You do not need a note for every wearing. A fragrance journal is a different hobby. This is only so you can answer three questions: what do I wear, do I already own this line, and what should someone buy me.
If the rest of the house is still unsaved, put perfume in the same pass as keep every beauty product you own in one place. It belongs in the catalogue next to the face products, not in a separate "nice things" pile that never gets searched.
Use the list when you shop, pack, or ask
Restock. Search the line before you buy a bigger bottle. Confirm you are not adding a hair mist you thought was the eau de parfum.
Travel. Put the everyday fragrance on the travel list if it earns a place. The backup stays home. Size on the record stops you packing the 100 ml by mistake.
Gifts. Share a view-only list with the one or two bottles you would actually want, exact line and size. Share a board without sharing your whole collection is that link. "Anything in that family" is how you get the wrong cousin.
Save the bottle you already wear. Line, size, shop. The pink one can stay on the tray. The name has to live somewhere you can send.
